Last night I attended the opening of Give Credit Where Credit is Due at DOK Artist Space, an exhibition in which my work was featured. My two pieces Body of Work (Red #1) & Body of Work (Yellow #1) were displayed in the steel shed on Edinburgh's waterfront alongside work by Jamie Dyer, Cora Ogborn James, Ryan Miller, Josh Nuttall, Robby Ogilvie, Mark Osborne, Stephen Norman Young and Eve Stotesbury. I particularly liked Eve Stotesbury's Candidates and Mark Osborne's View from Above, pictured below.
The washed out Guatemalan billboard signs reminded me of Untitled (Billboard of an Empty Bed), 1991 by Felix Gonzalez-Torres. View from Above evoking Eva Hesse's work in latex and the reds of Louis Bourgeois.
